1、 Overview of Security Industry

The security industry is a security guarantee industry that utilizes technological means such as video surveillance, entrance and exit control, physical protection, prohibited item security inspection, intrusion alarm, and new generation information technology to prevent and respond to various risks and challenges, build a three-dimensional social security prevention and control system, and maintain national security and social stability. Throughout the development process of the security industry, the main focus is on the continuous reform and upgrading of video surveillance. Up to now, it has undergone five transformations, and "visible, far sighted, and clear" has always been an important factor driving the continuous progress of the industry. In 2015, with the introduction of AI products, the security industry gradually transitioned from passive monitoring to active identification, and "understandable" has become the main theme of the video surveillance industry.

2、 Background of Security Industry Development

The rapid growth of China's security industry began with the release of the Safe City policy in 2005, followed by the implementation of policies such as the Smart City and the Snow Bright Project, which became the main driving force for industry development. During this period, China's fiscal and public security expenditures continued to grow, continuously promoting the implementation of security projects. The increase in growth rate from 2014 to 2016 corresponds to the high industry prosperity from 2016 to 2018; Since 2017, with the release and empowerment of AI Cloud and other products, the expenditure on information technology project construction and public safety has increased since 2018; After 19 years, the growth rate returned to zero, mainly due to the completion of the Xueliang Project and the impact of the epidemic, and the high growth rate of the industry tends to be flat.

3、 Security Industry Chain

In recent years, China's security industry has continuously increased investment in technological innovation and research and development efforts, forming an industrial chain from upstream chip and key component research and development and manufacturing, to midstream Al security software and hardware product design and manufacturing, and then to downstream system integration and operation and maintenance services. However, in addition to the relatively fixed roles of upstream manufacturers, the boundary between midstream and downstream manufacturers in the industry chain is relatively blurred. Security manufacturers, AI companies, and cloud service providers can provide customers with standardized or customized products and services through integrator channels or direct customer models. Some integrators can also directly provide customers with some hardware products and software technologies related to Al security, as well as later operation and maintenance services, The cooperation and competition relationships between various roles are relatively complex, and the openness of the industrial chain is relatively high.
